Recently, in an ImSaturn instant poll, we asked: “In EcoCAR, 17 universities compete to re-engineer a Saturn Vue for high fuel efficiency and low emissions. Which of these technologies interests you most?” We received 145 answers, and thought you might appreciate knowing the final results. Here they are:
56% Hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles
24% Extended-Range Electric Vehicles, like the Chevy Volt
23% Clean diesel
19% Gasoline-powered internal combustion advances
15% Plug-in hybrids
8.6% Other
Other notable answers included: hydrogen combustion engines, fully electric automobiles and algae-powered cars. The clear winner was “Hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles.” The high number of votes reassured us that ImSaturn members are interested in new technologies, especially those designed to reduce the carbon footprint of the automobile and reduce our dependence on oil. We would love to see blog posts from ImSaturn members on how the future automobile will be propelled, what it will look like, and what that means to you. Plus, we’re always looking for excellent blog posts from members to feature on the home page.
Thanks,
Saturn Team.
