
On Saturday, June 6 Saturn of Rockford, IL hosted the Fifth Annual Charity Dog Wash in partner with First Northern Credit Union, B103 “Today’s Light Rock” to benefit PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving). This year the event brought in $6,000 all benefiting PAWS, a non-profit organization.
Despite the rain, the dogs and supporters came out in force! Over 200 pups were washed, 270 brats and 200 hot dogs grilled, and 100 plus volunteers, the event was another huge success. Check out some of the cute k-9s below.
Saturn of Rockford is lead by General Manager, George Schaffner who keeps the community front of mind, they hold a different fundraiser at the first of each month. “Community is one of our core goals [at Saturn of Rockford]. It is important to give back to where you work and play. We feel that when you pay it forward, it will all come back, we aren’t about gimmicks, it’s about the type of business you want to be.”
