I wanted to let you all know about a new feature we’ve just added today to Saturn.com, called Ask Jill, through which you can submit a Saturn-related question. Each week, we’ll post the answers to several of the most frequently asked questions. I encourage you to check it out and send your questions. Of course, I will still be checking in here on ImSaturn.com regularly. I should also say that I have no news to report on the future of Saturn now, but we are continuing our evaluation of potential investors for Saturn and will share information as soon as it’s available.

In 2002 I bought two Saturns at the local Saturn, the two cars totaled what one would cost brand new. We needed transportation badly and the price was right. I got the SL, 5 sp/w air and a am/fm radio. The car on it's most current extended cruise averaged 37mpg. My wifes car a SL1 came equipped with power steering and an automatic transmission which was a must. Other extras were an am/fm/cd, power windows and cruise control. This car gets very good in the thirties gas milage as well. Mechanically we have had only minor problems and are very satisfied with the choice of owning them. I would gladly buy a Saturn again. I travel a lot and on some occassions I even get to rent a car versus drive your own. On two different occasions I rented an 08 Aura and an 09 Aura. What a difference 8 years had made. The cars handled well, looked great and were pleasing to look at. I hope the Saturn name and models survive.

As an owner of a 2008 Saturn Sky red Line I do have a question. I don't think there will be a problem with servicing, but what about replacement parts? Any information on that Saturn Team? Regards - Jack Keville

Yes, give us a car that is NOT dependent on foreign oil. My wife and I have had two Saturns. A 1994 S and 2003 SL. For me, Saturn has always been a dependable way to get from point A to point B. I don't want luxury and frills, just a, dependable, and affordable car. And Saturn customer service is better than any other company I've ever done business with. I have vowed that my next car has to be at least a hybrid. I would prefer a hydrogen powered car, but I don't think I can wait that long. So if Saturn wants to keep me as a customer, they need to become part of the solution.

I heard one of the companies in the bidding is interested in making Saturn a distributor of eco-friendly models (plug-in hybrids and electrics). I really hope Saturn heads that route, goes back to its roots and distinguishes themselves from the rest of the automotive pack.

If Saturn keeps on its current road further and further toward pushing rebadged Opels, my next car will probably be a Chevy.

I would be all for continuing to have Saturn market Opel based derivatives. I love my Astra, our two Aura's are great. I would really like a shot at buying an Insignia.

Nissan-Renault, Roger Penske, that private equity firm whose name I can't think of right now... I think it's quite exciting. I sure hope Saturn does move just a hair upmarket. They don't have to be like a Buick, Chrysler, Acura or anything, but I sure would like to see Saturn go toe-to-toe with Volkswagen. I think between Saturn's brand loyalty and the already "moving upmarket" brand image in American consumer's minds, Saturn would be perfectly poised to be the one-up of Chevy. Renault has the machines for it, but that again so would Citroen if that private equity firm zoinked Saturn. I just would love to see the Saturn emblem remain on the vehicles and not just turn it into a retail outlet like the plan was from that firm. Well, we know OPEL had the hardware for it. Hell, who knows? Since GM is selling off the GM Europe brand, perhaps GM Europe's new owners and Saturn can be the same company? Or at least network with each other. The next gen Astra rocks, the new Insignia is awesome (what's going on with that now that GM is using that next-gen Epsilon platform for the new LaCrosse as well?). I don't know, I just would love to see an American VeeDub.
