Earlier this month, Will Stewart asked the ImSaturn for first-time stick-driving memories. We loved reading your comments! The great feedback gave us an idea- what if we taught one of our own team members how to drive a stick. That's where Lish and Saturn's Greg Creason come in.

Last week a very brave Greg agreed to teach Lish how to drive a stick shift at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Mich. We captured the experience on film and now it's time to enjoy it. Check out our video section to see the lesson in action.

No parked cars were hurt during the filming of this video.

Awesome video. I remember when my dad taught me to drive a stick in a tempermental 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 5 speed pick up with the 3.0L V6 back in 2007. After that, I told my parents I wanted a stick shift for my first car. Naturally they were like O.o. Unfortunately I got an automatic Chevy Monte Carlo instead. Awesome car. So much fun around corners, but I miss and yearn for a 5 speed manual, which my car wasn't even offered with unfortunately.

That's awesome! Congrats on your accomplishments; now you have bragging rights over all of your non-manual transmission know-how buddies.

That's my Astra Lish and Greg are driving. No noticeable damage to it, either!

It's comical watching the newbies learning to use the clutch. My first was a '70 C10 Chevy pickup with the 3 in the tree. The GF learned in a Z-28 in a Chevy dealers lot!! LOL!!! The salesman said to take her out and teach her how to drive a stick. She did very well after a few minutes. She now drives a Sky RL, 5 speed of course.
