Hello Saturn owners!
As many of you may know, I recently acquired a 1994 Homecoming Edition; which I am already in the stages of "Restoring". I am in the early stages of gathering some interest in creating a webpage that would be a "Registry" for all of the Homecoming Editions that were made in 1994 and 1999. I know that there were not many of these made, so if you own one of these cars; please let me know. I am wanting to create a website registry where a picture of your car, location, owner's…

Greetings all;
For the past couple of years; I have been searching online and offline for a 1994 Saturn Homecoming Sedan. I know there were not very many made (if you consider that there were only 6000 of them made.)
Well, here is my question...does anyone have one of these beauty cars that they don't want anymore? I would be interested in knowing if anyone has a 1994 Homecoming Edition, or even if you know someone that owns one that would be interested in selling....I'm interested in buying.…

I wrote this note a few days ago in the Saturn Story section; and was asked by the Saturn Team to post it here as a Blog Post. I hope you enjoy!
Back in 1997, after having owned 2 Chevrolets (A 1981 Citation, and a 1986
Chevette...respectively); I started to take a real look at Saturn. My father had
purchased a brand new 1993 SL2. His car was a great car, it was a peppy little
car. A nice little 5 speed, by this "new" company called "Saturn". Well; after
seeing how well my father's car ran; and…

Hello Everyone,
I haven't posted in a while; but I thought I would drop you all a line to say Hey! I received an email from the Saturn Team on here regarding my 1994 SC1 (which currently is at 340,501 miles as of 02/27/09). Unfortunately; my beloved "Amber" is in my Garage currently. In October 2008; I started experiencing a pretty bad misfire. I did a compression test after having my car towed to the dealership (Saturn of Beechmont)....only to find that my compression was completely shot in Cy…

Hello Saturn Owners!
Just thought I would pass this information along to all of you. I haven't been here in a while but I have been busy with some cool stuff that you might be interested in hearing about. In July 2008; I came across an ad locally for a radio station that was looking for on-air DJs to host their own programs. I do audio visual work in my day job; but doing the DJ work is what I do for fun (and it's volunteer). :-)
Well, I am proud to say that I am a host of my own show that air…

Yesterday on 06/24/08; I rolled 335,000 miles on my 94 SC1. I am still amazed that after all of this mileage; that my car still runs this good. Then again, I take care of my car too, so it will last. In my previous posts; I had mentioned that I had an EGR issue. Well, the EGR has been replaced, and I cleaned out the Throttle Body, and now my "Amber" is running great!
I added a few more photos in my gallery when I hit 333,333 miles as well as when I hit 334,000 miles. My next milestone will be 3…

This story originally appeared on Saturnfans.com. I wrote this earlier today. As crazy as this story may sound, it's all true.
Below is the story of the purchase of the 1997 SW2, and how I travelled 1024 miles one way to Boston to purchase this car, and then drive it BACK to Cincinnati, Ohio in a return trip that covered 1039 miles and covered traveling I-495 North of Bellingham, MA., to I-90 West to the entire route of I-84 West across Connecticut, New York, over to Scranton, Pennslyvania. Fro…

My wife and I, along with our 15 month old son, attended the Young's Dairy event. Honestly, I have lived in Ohio for 20 years and never knew it existed. Was good to see a few of the people from the saturnfans.com website (I'm still in awe of Quasar (Ron), and his mint condition 1991 SC (I'm jealous!) :)
Young's Dairy was pretty cool, and although it was a bit of a drive from the East side of Cincinnati to just east of Dayton, it was worth it to me. My young son had not seen goats or cows before…

Well, I hit the big one today...mileage wise.
In my 1994 SC1 I rolled 334,000 miles on my way home. I've driven 1000 miles in under a month, don't ask me how. I know I have been driving around, but didn't think I had driven THAT much. With that in mind, I may be hitting 335,000 miles by the middle of June instead of the middle of the Summer as I originally predicted. I'll post more mileage updates as the weeks progress.
Here's to 334,000 miles!!!! :)
Cheers!

Well, the search for the Wagon has been tiring, and time consuming to say the least. I've looked at COUNTLESS ads on ebay, and Craigslist. Searching up to 5 states away from Ohio. Yes, that is correct. There aren't any for sale from private owners. They are just THAT DIFFICULT to come by! I can say that I am winning a bid for one on ebay. So we will see what happens with that. I have a couple of gripes, so please bear with me as I really need to get this out and off of my chest:
1. Regarding EB…

Mileage update:
I know I haven't been keeping up on the weekly mileage. Been busy with work and family. :)
As of 05/13/08; I now have 333,700 miles on my 94 SC1.
I've been having some issues with a code 32 (Faulty EGR Valve). Been trying to clean it out. Just cleaned it out for the 2nd time last night and cleaned out the Throttle Body. The trip to work this morning was a bit smoother, and not as rough idling as it has been the past couple of weeks. So maybe I got it cleaned out all the way...…

Well, the title says it all...After a couple of weeks with getting the 94 SL2 up and running; my wife wants something that has a bit more room in it. So...I've been on a hunt for an S-Series Station Wagon. Yes, you read that right. Let me tell you, they are EXTREMELY HARD to find!
I have found one on the East Coast, but I will most likely have to travel 500 miles to buy it. I know; call me crazy, but when you want something, you have to go after it...right? I am sure some of you can agree with…

Mileage Update----1994 SC1
Howdy folks....
I guess that every Tuesday, I will give you an update on my mileage on my 94SC1. As it seems that it would be fitting since I posted a mileage update last week (04/22/08).
Currently I am about 30 miles shy of 333,000 miles on my 94 SC1. Most likely I will surpass this mark on my way into work or when I am pulling into the parking lot ( Remember I have a 33 mile commute one way...so I spend 66 miles a day in my car; sometimes longer if I have to take…

Hey all,
Just wanted to give a little mileage update: As of 04/22/08; I now have 332,528 miles on my 94SC1, which is the gold Saturn in the photo with me on my page. "Amber" is still running good! I am probably going to be hitting 335,000 miles roughly within the next 8 weeks. Currently, I have a 33 mile commute one way to work, multiply that by 2 and that gives you 66 miles a day that I am in my car, all highway driving; mind you, better for a car in the long run :) ...5 days a week is 330 mi…

Greetings all,
Well, many of you may or may not know; I had purchased a 1994 SL2 that had a Salvage Title on it back in September 2007. I know what many of you may already be thinking; "A Salvage Title"...why on earth would you buy a Salvage title vehicle.....
This one has an interesting story:
My wife and I were out doing some errands on a weekend back at the beginning of September 2007. We had talked about me getting a 3rd car to use as a 2nd Daily Driver so that I could get things fixed on…

Well, I stopped by Home Depot tonight to pick up a Hacksaw and Bolt Cutters. I got an idea to use 10MM Bolts and 10MM Nuts on the end of the bolts to hold the fender to the lower bumper cover. Home Depot didn't have what I wanted...so I picked up the Hacksaw and Bolt Cutters. Better to be safe than sorry. I also stopped by O'Reilly's Auto Parts (not one of my favorites, but hey; they are a mile from my house). O'Reilly's actually had what I needed: 10MM Bolts/10MM Nuts. My plan was to hack off t…

Working last night to replace my Front Fender due to some cracks from black ice back in January last night. Well, I am in need of some replacement clips as one of the retaining clips that secures the fender to the lower bumper cover, seems to be seized in place. I will probably have to cut the bolt off tonight and replace both of the retaining clips. Both of the retaining clips are rusted beyond belief.
Not a fun night last night...but hey at 332K miles:
What do I have to complain about! :)

Greetings everyone,
Today is 04/14/08. Tomorrow is Tax Day...so get your taxes done if you haven't done so yet. My wife and I are working on our plan for the next 8 months for saving up on a used 04/05 VUE. We are going to get another set of wheels for my wife to drive around in until then...so I have my eye on some late 94/95 S-Series for the time being. That way she will have something to drive around in until we find the right VUE.
Amber is doing great. She rolled over 332,000 on Friday. I…
