You may be wondering, “How does this development affect Saturn.” At this point, plans for the Saturn brand are unchanged. We continue to work with Saturn retailers on a range of options for the brand, including a sale or the spin off of Saturn as an independent company. There has bee… Continue

Saturn’s Road to Change Road Trip: Toledo and OSU

Today was the first serious day of driving on Saturn’s Road to Change Caravan of 2009 Saturn Vue 2-Mode Hybrids. We’re heading to Washington to help mark the presidential inauguration and to ask people to commit to making positive changes for our environment and our nation. After battling some snowy roads, we arrived at Ottawa Hills Elementary near Toledo to be greeted by the schools Green Team – students from each class who lead the school's environmental activities. We talked to them about Sa… Continue

Driving and Blogging in ATL

As part of our continuing relationship with the BlogHer online community, Saturn had the opportunity last week to get together with a group of bloggers in Atlanta. We brought down several new Saturns for them to test drive, and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know such interesting group of women (and a couple of their husbands). The bloggers took their driving seriously, and bravely faced the temperatures in the mid-50’s with the top down on the Sky Red Line. Tough duty. We even brought down… Continue

First Vue 2 Mode Hybrid Review (sort of)

I admit that as the PR manager for Saturn, I’m probably not the best person to write an unbiased review of the new 2009 Saturn Vue 2 Mode Hybrid. I was lucky enough, however, to spend an entire day driving the new vehicle earlier this week. And as the PR person, I don’t have to worry about the embargoes and release dates we often impose on “real” auto critics. Before I get to my impression of the vehicle, let’s start with the basics overview. The newest hybrid Vue will arrive at Saturn retailer… Continue

Dog Gone Good Vue

We've always felt that the Vue offers a great mix of fuel economy and utility. Apparently, that opinion is shared by man's best friend. DogCars.com has placed the Vue on its "5 at 25" list...the top five "dog friendly" vehicles that get at least 25 mpg and have base price under $25,000. In addition to high mpg, the vehicles on the list all provide fold-down seats, rear-hatch access and relatively large cargo capacities. The humans at DogCars.c… Continue

We are very pleased that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have given the Saturn Outlook its Top Safety Pick designation. Painted Sky

How do you improve on one of the best looking vehicles on the road? The challenge is to maintain the basic styling characteristics while still adding a little flair. That's what we did with the 2009 Sky's special appearance packages. We just got our first Ruby Red special vehicle from the Wilmington, Del., plant and we snapped a few quick pictures. We'll take more artistic photos in the coming days, but I wanted to give y… Continue

Outlook MPG: The best gets better

The Saturn Outlook has a lot great attributes, but one of its most notable characteristics is its amazing combination of utility and fuel economy. For 2009, the Outlook still hauls eight people comfortably, but its fuel economy improves with the addition of direct injection to the 3.6L V6 engine. For the new model year, fuel economy for the Outlook FWD is 17 city/24 highway, an increase of one mpg in the city. The AWD Outlook gets 16 city/23 highway, an increase of one mpg on the highway. TContinue
