The new Twilight vampire movie took a record $26.3m (?15.9m) in midnight showings at North American box offices, studio Summit Entertainment has said.
That beats the previous North American record of $22.2m (?13.5m) for midnight openings, taken by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in July.
Experts have predicted that New Moon will have one of the biggest opening weekends for a non-summer film.
The first movie in the series, starring Robert Pattinson, made $69.6m (?42.1m).

Hundreds of private e-mails and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change.
The e-mails, attributed to prominent American and British climate researchers, include discussions of scientific data and whether it should be released, exchanges about how best to combat the arguments of skeptics, and casual comments — i…

Hi to all! Saturn I bought two years ago, to travel outside the city, as I arranged for its price. It is 2002 release, but still quite strong. The more I ride on it, the more I like it, and my next car, I hope, too, will be Saturn.
Recently, I began to have a little trouble with the transmission, and there was one big problem: Saturn cars in Russia is not officially available, so I can not find the parts and spare parts for repairs. I ask your help, I need the addresses and contacts, where I cou…

FORT COLLINS (Reuters) - The parents of a Colorado boy whose apparent brush with death in a helium balloon transfixed millions pleaded guilty on Friday to staging a publicity-seeking hoax and will be sentenced next month.

Has anyone developed a leak in their coolant reservoir? Mine runs dry every few days but I have yet to see the temperature guage rise. It's been going dry for a couple of months and I've just been adding water.
But, with winter approaching, I figure I better see to it. I called and a new one runs about $80, which isn't too bad, I guess, since it has an electric sensor attached to it.
I was curious if anyone had changed one themselves and if they had any tips.

I had a problem with intermittent turn signals. Sometimes the left one would stop working, then after being parked awhile, it would work again. Then, later, the right one started the same thing. It turned out to be that the plastic plugs on the front turn signal bulbs had melted a bit so I bought some extras at my local auto parts store and replaced them. No problem since. And, by the way, they're a cinch to change!

I own a Saturn LW200 wagon. I really do like the car but it's becoming 1 mechanical disaster after another.
I took in on Friday 11/6 to have some work done.
Front end needed work and oil change. The oil change is a disater.
It seems that the oil plug has been stripped and a whole new drain pan assembly need to be replaced at a cost of over $500.00.
The Saturn dealer where I purchased the car is now closed and a local chevy dealer is now doing the reapir.
I should not have to incure the total cos…

I just love my 2004 Vue, it currently has 67,000 miles. I began have some trouble with what I call a "puttering" when accelerating between 20mph and 40 mph. Not bad just a hesitation. It is begining to happen more often. I have had it in the shop three times and they first ran a test that said my pistons had misfired and they took care of it. But 4 months later its happening again. Any ideas!

Last weekend I bid a fond farewell to my trusty Astra. I decided to trade it while the value was still up and buy something more in tune with my current needs. The Astra was a fine car but both it and the Saturn Brand have been abandoned here in the USA. This is a shame and something that should have been addressed long before this.
Earlier last week I did my last Oil Change on it and went to the parts store to pick up an Air Cleaner. They had none and none were in the local warehouses. I have…

I have a 2008 Saturn VUE. Just lately my wipers have begun to act weird. I always leave them on rain sense. They sense the rain and turn on. If they do an intermittent swipe, they go down to the lowest rest position and then jump up a couple inches immediately. Sooner or latter they will just stay wiping even if the rain stops. If I turn them off when in this continuous running condition - they just stop immediately no matter where they are on the windshield. pushing the lever down for single sw…
