As many of you know, Saturn Has many other models in their European Opel division that are not sold here (yet).
Check out Vauxhall's lineup in the UK and have a look, anything you'd like to see here on this side of the water?
The sad thing is the original S series Saturns were more fuel efficient than anything Saturn has out now! I hope Saturn is successful once it is no longer part of GM. GM may have conceived the idea but they have nearly driven it into the ground.

so, how do you like that Toyota you traded your Saturn for? I worked for Toyota corporate as a business consulant to their Toyota Rent A Car division. Guess what, I purchased my first Saturn Vue in 2004 because it was only $2000K dollars more than a base corolla with more warranty while employed by Toyota corporate, imagine that. Recent experiences have left me thinking that Saturn has changed toward the wrong direction as far as customer service is concerned, we shall see if they are still the company they once were. We loyal customers must give them a chance to prove their loyalty to us.. Jason Johns and family.
Actually some colleagues of mine have Sienna's and are quite happy with them. Yea, I was a little worried about buying GM too, but it was a price I couldn't refuse. Hopefully things will turn around for GM.
Hey Montrealvue, I guess I'm a Saturn traitor. I bought a Saab 9-5 Sportcombi (wagon) on the weekend. I pick it up on Thursday Nov. 13. Its really fun to drive. I kept my LW300 though.
cheers
Hey montrealvue. Thanks for the comment. Your Vue looks pretty good too. I think the LW300 and the Vue share the same engines.
I read your comment to Jill Lajdziak about the Vauxhall Zafira. I was in the UK last year and I actually had one as a rental for 3 weeks. It drove really well. The steering was good (communicative) and the transmission was easy to shift (it was manual) but it was a little underpowered I think for North American tastes. It had a ton of room in the Cargo area, seemed larger than our LW300 but only because the Zafira is taller. The hard part was learning to drive (and shift gears) on the opposite side !!
Cheers,
Randy
Thanks for you comments on my post regarding the Aura's 4 cyl./6-speed powertrain. We apprciate you opinion and your loyalty to the brand.
I need to correct you, however, on the situation with the Vue Green Line. Unfortunately, we are currently recalling all 2007 Vue and Aura hybrids to replace the hybrid batteries. This led to a shortage of batteries for the 2008 model year. It was nothing intentional, and we are working hard to boost availability. As for the Vue Green Line fuel economy performance, I have personally recorded 35 mpg when driving conservatively (65 mph) on highway routes. In mixed driving (city and highway), I've typically been just below 30 mpg. At recent media event, we had journalists drive a course that replicated a typical daily commute, with city driving, highways and some stop and go conditions. One team hit 30.1 mpg.
We are very proud of Saturn's fuel economy performance. No SUV gets better highway fuel economy then the Vue hybrid. No midsize sedan gets better fuel economy that the Aura. The Outlook also leads its segment in fuel economy. Even the Sky Red Line provides 28 mpg highway to go along with its 260 hp and the Astra tops 32 mpg on the highway.
Chances are, I'll never drop the Chevy. I was a Chevy Truck man before I found Saturn, but If I can have my Silverado AND an Astra, that would be awesome~ I drove an Astra a few weeks ago and I LOVED it!
Thanks for adding me as a friend. I like your page with the Chuck Norris facts. You Vue looks like a nice ride. My wife recently lost our 2005 Vue to an accident. We will be replacing it with another by the end of the year.
