I'm a multi-car owner, but it is always a treat when I take my "Keith" out for a spin. He's HOT! I'm truly envied. My neighbors have admired my Astra more than once. It's very flattering. Life is good! The 28mpg around town ain't too shabby either!

"Vantage Point" Astra...

Last night, I was watching a DVD movie called "Vantage Point". Starring Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Sigourney Weaver.

There was an awesome chase scene with a blue (thank you) Opel Astra. This was a 5dr model with the panoramic sun roof.

There were some really great stunts with this Astra. I saw that the inside shots were really inside of an Astra...I recognized the beautiful interior!

However, this car was a stick shift, but you see many shots of Dennis Quaid on his Cell phone (and NOT HAND

Hi Rikki. We don't actually have an Astra. But we sure do like the Saturn brand and all they stand for. We believe they have the right approach to the whole dealer/customer relationship. Right now we own a Pontiac Montana SV6. We had the opportunity to do a long term test drive on the Vue Green Line and loved the experience. It proved to be a very smart and economical vehicle. We test all kinds of cars and in our book, we have recommended Saturn highly.
Have a wonderful day and drive safely wherever you go.

Great! Funny story about Keith from OnStar. Does he know you named your Astra after him?

Can you give me your e-mail address and I'll send some questions directly, rather than having everything appear on the site?

Here's mine: ddesmond@gpworldwide.com

Thanks.

Hi Rikki,

Way back in August, I warned you that I would be contacting you again to write a story about your Astra experiences for Saturn 360° magazine. Well, the time has come -- we're working on our Spring 2009 issue and I'd like to include you in a story we're planning about Astra's unexpected benefits.

Let me know if you're still interested and I'll send you some questions. One of the things that caught my attention about you was your emotional attachment to your cars, so I'll be asking about that (for instance, I'm curious why your Saturn is dubbed "Keith").

I hope to talk to you soon.

Yes, I find myself looking at other vehicles that get better gas mileage than mine. I wanted an Outlook or a Vue, but the Outlook was a little too pricy at the time and the Vue was too small for us. I have to fit three kids in the back seat.

Have you always been a Saturn person?

Hi Rikki,

Just curious: Have you ever owned a Saturn before you bought your Astra? I'm also interested in your other cars. I see one of them is a Nova. The obvious question would be "a Nova?" But it must mean something to you.

Thanks for sharing your photos.
