Tara: I don't wax the car, but I use RaggTopp on the top. This is the product recommended by Haartz, the company that manufactured the convertible top material for the Sky. There are 2 products: the cleaner and the protectant. After the protectant…

Gary, just ignore Robert. He is a troll. His only purpose is to stir up controversy on the site. He has posted twice now and has not given one specific example of his alleged grievances against Saturn - just generalities.

OK. I just have to share this. Yesterday I was driving home from work in my Saturn Sky Redline and waiting at a red light. It was a nice fall day in Washington, not a cloud in the sky and temperature in the high 60s, maybe 70, so I have the top dow…

Been waiting to hear if there is any other news about this...perhaps some White Knight to save the company - but no cigar. My 2008 Sky Redline is my first Saturn and apparently my last. I just LOVE this car. The Pontiac Solstice was no competition a…

My favorite memory is how I got my '08 Sky Redline. At the time I was driving a '01 Celica. I had occasionally seen a Sky parked near work. One day I snapped a picture with my cell phone camera and emailed it to my wife. She decided that I should ha…

Ragtopp is highly recommended. I have been using it for 2 years now and the top still looks like new.

Been considering it. Won't know until closer to the date as it will depend on the situation at work.

I need a 12,000 badge for my Saturn Sky. At the rate I drive, I won't be eligible for a 100K badge until 2020!

The announcement doesn't mention the Sky. Where will I be going to get my Sky serviced? Saturn? GM?

To JnA: You're still under warantee, so I would go to the dealer. This seems to be a common issue, see this thread in the SkyRoadster forum. http://www.skyroadster.com/forums/f2/door-handle-failures-28231/

In addition to Rob's comments, it takes the torque from 260 ft-lbs to 340, it adds no-lift-shift (you can shift at high RPM without taking your foot off the gas), and disables the "learn down" feature of the ECM. This last point means that you can a…

What does it do??

Right! I think nothing bigger than my cat could be trapped in that trunk. Not sure if he could use the handle.

Ha, I've seen the sticker about the emergency trunk release "in case" I get locked inside. I think if I crammed my 6'3" frame inside that trunk, I would not be able to manuever to scratch an itch let alone pull a trunk release.

Sky Encounter

OK. I just have to share this.

Yesterday I was driving home from work in my Saturn Sky Redline and waiting at a red light. It was a nice fall day in Washington, not a cloud in the sky and temperature in the high 60s, maybe 70, so I have the top down. Suddenly, I hear a woman's voice on my right, but can't quite make out what she is saying since the radio is on, rather loudly.

So I turn off the radio, turn to the right, and see this attractive young woman in her car. She says to me, in a sultry… Continue

Question of the day

Alright, I just have to know why this sticker appears on the visor of a two-seat roadster like the Saturn Sky.

ME: "Honey, please put the kid in the back seat"
WIFE: "Sorry dear, we left the back seat in the other car"

First impressions of the GM LNF Turbo Upgrade - UPDATED May 2, 2009

As I've been blogging recently, I have gone ahead and had the GM LNF Turbo upgrade installed in my 2008 Sky Redline. This kit consists of two parts: new sensors that must be installed in the engine and new firmware that must be flashed to the ECM (Engine Control Module). In many cases, your local dealer might not have the kit available and you'll have to order it elsewhere and have the local dealer install it.

What is included
The kit itself consists of two sensors, the wiring to connect… Continue
