Andrew, no Astras have "built-in" XM radio, but your local Saturn store does offer kits that will add it to your Astra. I have an Audiovox XPress XM receiver that I've used in my last car w/out an AUX input (2005 Saab 9-3) and it worked well. I've n…

Bonnie, I'm sorry that your Check Engine Light came on. I've had my Astra XR 3-Door since February 2009 and I've not had any such trouble, and I've got just over 23,000 miles on the car. I did have to get the driver's seat recline mechanism fixed (I…

You're lucky to have a ride on the Astra, it was a nice car anyway, with all the nice napa auto parts, nice performance and all that... Im still thinking of having an Astra in replacement of the broken Sky though... Also, you remind me of my ex-boy…

Steve, if you haven't been there, visit www.usastra.com. The administrator of that site, "Mr. Clarkson", has connections for getting so Astra hop-up parts. I think you will be pleased!

I'm approaching 20,000 miles on my Astra XR 3-Door with a Manual trans, and my overall average for MPG in the 16,000+ miles that I've had it is at 29.7 MPG. That's all of the miles that I've driven (the car had 3,550 miles on it when I bought it in…

I love going to grandma's house in the car, she feeds me so good! yes I am spoiled. it's just me and dad. no one else. So I am very spoiled...I'm like the only kid of the house. I had an eye problem last month so I had to go to the emergency vet sun…

Well, my Dad broke through the 14,000 mile barrier today (May 6th), so we're catchin' up! He sure does drive a bunch. I don't really like to go in the car. In fact, I raise a holy ruckus when I have to go to the vet every year! As for baths, I clean…

I am a spitz mix, I do not have a digital camera yet to take photo's to show you me yet. I love kids, but hate seeing animals on TV. they drive me crazy. but generally I'm a very cool and laid back dog. My Astra is a 5dr XR with all the toy's. Yes t…

What's up party people?

Hey, I'm Stirling, the cat sitting in for (and being much more handsome than) my "owner" B-Dog. He's a car nut who lives with me, his wife and son (who chases me when I least wish to be chased) outside of St. Louis, MO. I used to live in Atlanta, but we moved to St. Louis to get away from the allergies (at least that's what the script says). I don't like driving or riding in cars - getting me to the vet is tough because I fit under the bed where the humans aren't supposed to reach me. Yet somehow, they always seem to get me into that little box and put me in the car. Usually I can't see out the windows, but with this new Saturn VUE, I should actually be able to watch the world go by on the way to my annual check-up. But I'll proably just lay low in the portable jail cell - man I hate that thing! At least he let me set up this Saturn page. Betcha never saw one like this before, eh!?

Well, full disclosure: I've only been in movies on the camcorder. Really, I'm quite camera shy. But it has been a while since I was filmed, so I am between films, so to speak. But if you like, tell me your Saturn stories. I'm a good listener. And I'm handsome to boot! MEOW!

Astra racking up the miles in a bit of a hurry!

Hello again party people! I'm back with an update on my man's car. I still haven't ridden in it, but he tells me that it's nice. So long as I don't have to go to the Vet any more than necessary, it's cool by me!

Within about two and a half months, "Dad" has taken the car all over the place, and now has almost 11,500 miles on the clock. He got the car with 3500 miles, so 8000 miles in a bit over two months seems like a lot to me. The car has had only one issue, that was caused in part by my "bro… Continue

ASTRA Update

Hello again party people! My "Dad" (really he's just the older male human I have at my beck and call, but don't tell him that) told me he got his portable XM radio set-up going again in his Astra. He's pleased with the result, but there are lots of wires that need to be watched out for. But the point is it works! He really should get his car cleaned up so he can take a few pics of it to show y'all, but it's supposed to rain & snow in St. Louis tonight and tomorrow, so that's not gonna happen… Continue

New Family Member!

Yeah, "Dad" got the new ASTRA! He got the one that I talked about the other day: Salsa Red 3-Door, Black Leather, Advanced Audio System, Stick Shift. He drove it home tonight from the nearby Saturn Store, and he's pretty pleased with himself. Tomorrow he'll take it on a 300+ mile round trip for work, so that should be a good test of how it'll run. It had about 3500 miles on it, and with the way he drives, the miles will come in piles. It's also "Grandma's" birthday (really, it's Dad's Mon, but I… Continue

My "Dad" might be getting an Astra!!

Well, it's been a long time (to quote Rakim - bet you've never seen a kitty quote hip-hop lyrics)! My "person" may be adding another Saturn to the VUE we have parked in front of the house. He found a low-mileage pre-loved Salsa Red Astra XR Three-door with Black Leather, Advanced Audio and a Manual Tranmission (he loves the clutch pedal). The price is right, so he should make the deal later today (it's just past midnite here in the STL). I can hardly wait to see if it's as good looking as I am (… Continue

Thanks for your note, Brian. You're the man! Glad that you may become a 2-Saturn family. I'm a HUGE fan of the 3-door Astra.

Hope all is well with you and the family... Warm regards!

Steve
