Got my answer. It was a select number of cars saturn put out to be affordable. they only came in silver - blue and were all 5 speeds later that year saturn took all the left over production parts and buiolt the limited sl2 models for the last of that model of saturn.

I wrecked my 97 sl1. Did a number to the finder door tail light and under skirt..sucks but is was an easy fix.i will have pics up soon of the the car crash site and fixing it.....

nope. 92 didnt have an option for an airbag so even if you found a steering wheel that had one, the splines would not match because 91-92 had a different style then the later years. further more, its not as simple as putting a SRS Steering wheel on. you have to think about things like the control module, impact senors, PCM, wiring, harness, etc. it would cost you thousands more then the car is even worth to do it.

just wear your damn seatbelt, you will be alright. our parents never had them and they were just fine.
