Has any one ever wanted to make a SC convertible? They have monster trunks, plenty of space to put a roof. If I had the $ I'd definitely buy another to mod.

mine has done that for more than 3 years, i was at dealer to have them do alignment--it started when Mechanic was working on it----they tried for hours to find out why it did chime---finally said (deal with it) we don't know whats wrong.
so it still does the same thing as yours

I'm guessing I may already know the problem, but maybe someone's heard of this; i have a 97 SL2, one night i get out of my car and the chime starts as if the lights are on or I've left my keys in the ignition. Both of which I never do, but i check anyway to find out I'm exactly right. Now anytime (only the drivers side door) I have the door open, the chime goes off, there was nothing i changed or did that would indicate i did something to mess this up. Has anyone heard of this problem? or is it just a short in the electrical system? Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Well, I know of a person who bought a brand new Mercedes 190E back in the day, refused to change the break-in oil, blew the motor at 13K and was back AGAIN for her third motor at 27K. More money than sense there, so I'd have to ask what Rita's maintenance schedule was like.

Do I have to drop out of the group since we just got rid of both our s series cars.

One trick (which is probably too late for everyone now...) is to make a copy of the brand new key when you get your new car and save the original key. I did this 14 years ago with my '95 SW2, so making a new key from the unworn original gives me a very good copy.

this is a poblem with saturns they used a cheap ignition switch, what u can try is spray the inside of the switch with silcone spray and if not u will have to get a new switch and get it keyed to the key u have,ur locksmitch can do this for u cheaper than saturn can

Yeah. Have the dealer cut a new key from your VIN code. Cutting a copy of your worn-out key won't help anything.
