Hi everyone, just joined the Group.
We have 3 Skys and just love them all. We got hooked when we went down to order our Black Onyx Redline Sky #2 and they were not taking orders yet, so our Salesman Chad told us that they had a Chili Pepper Red Sky coming in, in the next day or 2 that someone ordered but decided not to take. I told him that I would take it sight unseen, because I figured that we could drive it for the next 6 months while our Black Onyx was being built and then sell the Chili when it got here. When the Black arrived we put a for sale sign on it and had 3 calls within the first day. After about a week the wife decided that I wouldn't let her drive the Black, so she said she wanted to keep the Chile so she could drive one too! Then on a cruise ("Ride to Telluride") we took to Colorado with almost 30 Sky/Solstice owners from several western states, someone just had to arrive with one of the new Ruby Red Sky's, my wife's favorite color. Long story short, we ended up in Henderson, Nevada to buy our #3 2009 Ruby Red Redline, what a beautiful color. I think it should be at the top of this page! but the yellow probably blends better with the grass!

The Saturn Sky is such a fine automobile. It is so choice! If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

For some good live theater in the L.A. area check out...

Recently, Deb (The better half of our team) and I went the L.A. Music Center for an evening of dinner and live theater. We had a great meal and then saw “Spamalot”. It’s a stage version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The stage version is true to the original movie, right down to the killer rabbit and Not Dead Fred. I have to say it was probably one of the best nights of musical comedy (farce) theater we have ever enjoyed.

The musical numbers were sharp and well choreographed. The orchestra was top shelf, and the acting was crisp and energetic. John O’Hurley’s King Arthur was a brilliantly clueless, unwitting and altogether charming buffoon. The rest of the cast played their characters with as much enthusiasm, craft and respectful irreverence to Arthur’s legend as O’Hurley.

From curtain to curtain call, I was either chuckling, laughing or belly laughing. It was musical comedy/farce at its best. When we left, my face hurt and my sides were cramping up. Best cardio work-out I’ve ever had sitting in a theater seat!

Tickets were pretty reasonable too, we had orchestra seats, center of row L and they were $85.00 apiece. The show is running through September 6, 2009, at the Ahmanson Theater. If you’re looking for a night’s entertainment you can invest more, but I don’t think you’ll have any where as good a time as we did seeing this show.

We had a great meal, saw a terrific show and drove to and from the theater with the top down; all in all a fun evening. Don’t worry, the Valets will take excellent care of your Sky, as a matter of fact they tend to foot race each other to see who’ll get to drive it.

Tony P’s serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Deb and I put the top down and went to Marina del Rey today looking for some lunch. We didn’t have anywhere in particular in mind. Deb saw Tony P’s and we decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed.

Although a first time experience for us, Tony P’s is a fixture in the Marina. It is an award winning restaurant with a full service bar touting not only traditional mixed drinks but a large selection of draft beers and good selection of wines. The bar features 24 big-screens for the sports junkies, including play-off games and championship series nights. The facilities are well maintained and tastefully appointed. The terrace overlooks the marina. There are also a number of tables in the dining room that have a marina view. There is also plenty of parking with spaces wide enough to keep your roadsters from acquiring new door dings.

The staff is friendly. Servers are well backed up by the bus staff. Don’t expect a glass or mug to be empty for long. The appetizers and entrées were well timed. We ordered from the Lunch menu. Deb had sea bass (one of the 6 fresh fish selections available for lunch and dinner, which change daily). It was served with steamed vegetables on a bed of rice pilaf. The bass was fresh, firm and flavorful, the vegetables and rice pilaf were nicely seasoned and the vegetables crisp and full bodied.

They serve soft bread sticks when your drinks hit the table. They were warm, with an incredible aroma that is sure to spark pleasant childhood memories of freshly baked bread or rolls. These bread sticks nearly melt in your mouth.

I ordered a cup of New England style clam chowder as an appetizer and a main course of traditional fish and chips that included a cup of cole slaw. The chowder was first rate, hot and creamy, full bodied and of all things loaded with clams. The batter for the fish fillets is made fresh daily and is nicely seasoned. The fillets were firm and piping hot. The french fires were crisp, hot and lightly seasoned. Throw in the malt vinegar and I was a happy camper. I will admit between Deb’s and my mother’s cole slaw I am quite spoiled. I found Tony’s slaw a bit bland, but the cabbage and carrots were crisp and the sauce creamy and a couple of passes with the pepper shaker brought it up to snuff.

Tony P’s lunch menu is varied and has something for just about everyone.

The Lunch menu offers Stir Fry Teriyaki Bowls with a choice of shrimp, salmon or chicken and you can give it a little kick just ask for the Szechuan style; southwest or parmesan chicken; traditional fish & chips; a soup, sandwich and salad combo; fried clams platter; individual New York style pizza with your choice of topping and either a wedge or half Caesar salad; a charbroiled chicken breast platter; a turkey Ruben sandwich served with French fries and Cole slaw; and Louisiana Seafood Creole platter including fresh fish, shrimp and Prince Edward Island mussels simmered in a house Creole sauce and served over rice pilaf.

Lunch includes soft bread sticks, which are baked daily. You can add a wedge salad, half Caesar salad, a cup of Stracciatello soup or cup of clam chowder to any entre for a reasonable $2.95

The lunch menu also includes selections from their:

Dockside Pasta menu;
A Selection of traditional Italian pastas served with, chicken, seafood or spicy Italian sausages and peppers.

Dockside Grill Menu;
A selection of steaks and chicken dishes

Smoke House BBQ [the meats and poultry are smoked at the restaurant];
The entrées offered include ribs, chicken and combination plates.

We plan to return soon and sample their dinner menu and evening ambiance. We both agree lunch at Tony P’s was a pleasant experience and one we will repeat. Without a doubt, due to the quality of the food, extensive menu, the staff and ambiance Tony P’s has great potential for a top-down rally point.

Hello All, Joining the forum so I can keep the bride up to date on Sky issues. We had one interesting event so far, (2007 Sky), brakes locked up with no warning. Luckily, the lock up was while I was parked in my driveway getting the mail. Dealer indicated that the problem was in the master cylinder somewhere, but never elaborated. Besides the master, they replace all four rotors and brakes. Just passing it on.
