Good deals on Saturns right now if your in the market. More camaraderie can be found at skyroadster.com or solsticeforum.com.

Kappaperformance.com if you want more technical forums.

I second Charles' opinion; RaggTopp is your best bet. And as he said, make sure you get the Fabric cleaner as we have cloth tops. As for the wax, I use Meguiar's myself but really anything will do. I'd stay away from the base Turtle Wax and any store-brand stuff though. It's not that they don't work, it's just that they don't last long. If you want to go uber-hardcore, you can use Zymol (spelling) which is a good chunk more.

Also, be mindful of what kind of detail job you're going to do. If you're just looking to wax your car after a wash, the standard aforementioned cleaner waxes will do fine. If there's ever a day where you feel like getting every spec off of it, it'll look something like this: wash, rinse, clay bar, wash, rinse, dry, polish, glaze and then wax. If you're going to polish or polish & glaze (these are totally separate products mind you), then you do NOT use a cleaner wax as it will remove those substances; there are non-cleaner waxes you can buy for this kind of job. That is going a bit hardcore, but then again, our hydro-formed sex machines deserve that kind of tlc.

Tara:

I don't wax the car, but I use RaggTopp on the top. This is the product recommended by Haartz, the company that manufactured the convertible top material for the Sky.

There are 2 products: the cleaner and the protectant. After the protectant is applied light rain will just bead and roll off. It also protects from UV. I've been applying it about every 3 months for the past 2 years and the top still looks like new.

Be sure to get the fabric cleaner, not the vinyl cleaner. The protectant is the same for both kinds of tops. There are some online stores that sell it; just do a Google search. I usually get it on eBay.

I see light rotor rust on my Sky even if it just sits a day or so. Drive it, by the time you tap the brakes once or twice it'll be gone. Has no effect on breaking power, fear not the lot rot. :)

Tara, that's fine. All rotors do that when they sit -- they get a light surface rust going on. It happens to cars that sit on the lot for awhile; dealers call it "lot rot." I take it the Sky supplements cars that you already have access to rather than it being your daily driver? Your remedy is to simply drive it more! ;D

I'm selling my Polar White Sky today unfortunately :(
Redline (win)
Manual (win)
2008 (win due to revised 3rd gear ratio and still enough cup holders)
GM Performance Parts ECU Tune (win, 290hp & 340ft-lb all warranty).

Getting rid of it because I'm investing in some real estate and I need to lower my monthly payments to help offset the incurred costs. Rear-drive roadster, au revoir, front-wheel drive wagon (HHR), here I come.... ugh...

If anyone wants to buy it for more than $18,200 let me know! lol. 33k miles.

I just googled this, a new 09 2.0 turbo, auto, black onyx, red int. $33855. but I'm sure you could get it for a lot less now. We paid 30k for ours last year out the door with the same options just a different color! number is for a Dealer.

Thanks Pete, If we ever get your way we will look you up! One of our plans is to tour the entire east coast, starting in the north and then heading south to Fl. Hopefully next year or the year after. I have been in every state but the ones on the east coast, with the exception of Penn. and Fl.,but Fl. was by air, for a cruise. Ron
