I've had my 3 door XR since early May and I finally saw another one this weekend in the grocery store parking lot. I wanted to wait until the owner came out to talk to them, but I didn't have the time!

How are the MPGs on your Astras? I don't get good gas mileage. :(

Thanks for the replies. The more I drive without the armrest, the more okay I am without it. If I do get it, I'll post about it. Joe, since you're in CO, I'll revise my last statement and say I drove it over the hill - you guys have real mountains!

I have to admit the wife and I are impressed with the Astra's handling in turns. It does seem to get above the speed limit without realizing it too. Over all a fun drive.

Hello Kyle,

I share your sentiments on the Astra being an out and out gas to drive! I live in the Golden, CO area. I have no problem exceeding the speed limit on the mountain grades. Best of all is coming down the mountains and taking the turns at well over the speed limit and blowing past the less worthy competitors. The Astra holds the mountain curves like a go cart. Just point it a GO!

Welcome to Club Astra!

Kyle,
Glad you are enjoying your Astra. Might want to hold off getting that Armrest. I've had my Astra for a year now and really have not needed the armrest at all. Of course I have a stick and feel that it would slightly interfere with shifting the car is one reason that I've not bought one. If I had an automatic, I might think otherwise.

Okay, took it over the mountain today just for fun, and what a scream! I'm going to get a ticket, I can feel it. I love this little car.

Has anyone installed the armrest from boomerang? It looks good and easy to install, but does it fit well, work well, and is it comfortable? Thanks. I've had my 3 door XR for a week now and have 1200 miles on it. I think its the only one in Northwest Georgia because everyone is looking at it and asking me about it !

Picked up our 08 5 door XR on Thursday. We really enjoy it. It's a nice handling car. Are there any issues we should keep an eye out for? Thanks.
