I've seen just one in the wild. A black 5-dr XE on the interstate. Despite the excitement of seeing such a pretty car, it made me envious that I didn't have mine yet. Saturday will mark 10 weeks of waiting. It's been in NJ for two weeks now, but the processing is slow. My sales consultant is pressing the issue up the chain to get it expedited, but so far without luck. So close but yet so far.

In reply to Kevin's comment, yes, I've seen a lot of Astras "in the wild" over the last week. Unsurprising as I've been in the UK. :-) However, the are Vauxhalls, of course.
I've got a few photos that I'll post when we get back to the states.

Anyone else seen an Astra "in the wild?" I've seen 2. And talked to one of the owners. Tried to chase down the other one, but needed to get home :(

My 3dr XR is awesome but It would be perfect with an mp3 player plug in.

I think we should be able to use the euro stuff, since to the best of my knowledge they didn't change any of the suspension geometry or pickup points. We just need the dollar to rebound so we can afford to import the stuff.

I have a nice red '08 XR3. I love the car. It's a sporty euro-sedan that will have a reliable and reasonably priced parts supply. I am putting in a wood dash kit and new speakers. I've seen some billboards around, but people still dont know what my car is. Anyone know if I can use european opel astra anti-roll bars or coil-overs?
