The L-Series - based on the Opel Vectra from Europe.

The L-Series was a little more North-Americanized than the newer Aura, but they both share European roots. I like the handling and ride of the L-Series, it has surprised me how well-planted to the road it is. Mechanically, my 2003 LW300 has been flawless. I wish I could say the same about the electronics, but I guess there's no such thing as a perfect car.

Its good to see Saturn expand the idea of sharing platforms with Europe where both sides of the Atlantic benefit.

My 03 LW300 has about 96,000 km (60, 000 miles) on it. Its running pretty good right now. I had to replace the thermostat a couple of months ago.

Comment by Glenn Lego on December 4, 2008 at 9:57am: It really doesn't compare because all the other cars I've owned were big old rear-wheel drive cars from the 70's. I also owned a Dodge Caravan which as well doesn't compare.
