Hey Glenn, I guess if there is money to be made on servicing then Somebody will pick them up. They closed Oldsmobile and people can still get them fixed. There's still plenty of them on the road.
The Dealers if they are in good locations will as you say 'get another brand' and it might not even be a GM Brand.
cheers,
I like the fact that a turbo project was easy to do. When I get back to the states I plan on doing much of what you have or more and get it crankin!

I had no idea that there was so much interest in tuning the L-Series. Its pretty cool to see that. Marcus has a turbo charged L200 as well. It must be a blast to drive the cars when they are tuned like that. 222 HP out of the 4 cylinder is pretty sweet.
I have an ' 03 wagon but its completely stock, no tuning for me. I don't have the time or the know-how. The 3.0 is a pretty good engine, its good off the line and passing on the highway. Not too bad in fuel economy either.

Marcus isn't turbo charged. he's doing a n/a build. he's got $$. lol

The car isn't boosted. Everything done so far is all motor. And now with having HP Tuners on hand this is gonna get interesting. I've been doing alot of scouting around for parts as I plan to keep it N/A and see how far I can go. If I can get to 300 WHP all motor then I'll be happy. Being at 204 WHP at the moment has grown weak on me so now is time to get all the parts I want and as it starts to get warm outside which won't be til April around the Chicago area I'll keep the project on lockdown and break all the news and pix and vids at once. But stay tuned...as I buy parts I'll post them and let you know what I think.

Hey bro these are the cams in my car already. GET THEM...I gained 22 whp and 37ft lb. with them. But I'ma have to upgrade them as I want the Squires Turbo System so I'll have to go with a turbo grind cam and while I'm at it I'll prolly do the head. 300 WHP is in site!!! YAAA!

The fuel economy is what I like the best!

I have a 2002 LW200 (i.e. 4-cylinder wagon) and I am very ready to replace it. It handles very very poorly on snow and ice. It feels as if it's too light in the front - traction control kicks in when the roads are wet or when there's fine gravel on the road. I am so so so disappointed with this car. The only good things are the space and the gas mileage (30 highway). I am trying to find a replacement that has the cargo room of a wagon, is not large or small and gets good gas mileage and handles well. PHEW! It's a tough order!

I ended up buying a Saab 9-5 Sportcombi (wagon). It was that or the Volvo V70. What about the VW Passat?
