The shift boot cover must be removed to get at the shift knob components underneath. I had an 03 Ion so I don't know if the 07 is the same as the 03.

How do you remove the gear shift knob (manual transmission) on a 2007 Saturn Ion? I want to put a different one in, but I don't want to break anything in the process. Does it unscrew somehow?!?

My hood on my Ion-3 Quad coupe is in need of replacement. I have called my local wrecking yard so many times they know me by voice. Can anyone recommend a source not far from the Portland OR area who sells "GOOD-FITTING hoods?

I do not want to deal with a shipping charge equal to the part and then find that it is a poor after-market design.
