My '07 Hybrid VUE just turned 60K miles this week. I have since noticed a whining sound coming from the left front end that increases in pitch when speed is increased. I was thinking that it might be a bad wheel bearing, but the car brakes fine, there's no shimmying in the steering wheel, and the sound stays constant when I turn and when I brake. Is it a bad wheel bearing ort something else?
This is the third Saturn that I have owned in the past 15 years...I never had this happen to either of my previous Saturns (an '03 VUE and a '95 SL1 sedan) and both of those cars had 100K + miles on them when I traded them in.
