Anyone added a roof rack to a 2008 Vue Hybrid?
We love our Vue Hybrid, but the lack of the option to add a roof rack for occasional needs is going to be a problem for us. Are there anchor locations under the sealing strip and just hidden, for a dealer to modify, or do we have to find some other, after market solution?

I'd call your dealer and talk to the service department there. I know our salesman told us that they didn't put roof racks on the Vue Hybrid because of lessened gas mileage. Like you said though, you could always go to after market places. I wouldn't want the racks on my Vue unless they were easy to take on and off when you needed them.

I agree. I have been scouring the internet for someone who has put roof racks on an '08 Vue Hybrid with no success. The dealer is of little help, saying that they can't do it. I need to put a canoe on the roof at best once or twice a year and have tried foam blocks, but the roof panel is far too spongy to take the weight if it is not at the outside edges. I'd like a system that could be removed when not needed so that the mileage is not affected for the other 99% of the time when the rack is not being used.
