I HAD FIVE CARS BEFORE BLACK BEAUTY I HAD A 1987 ESCORT GL NAMED ROSEBUD A 1992 CHEVY LUMINA 3.4L NAMED SPORTY A 1996 ESCORT LX NAMED ONYX A 1991 BUICK SYLARK SAPHIRE BLUE NAMED SKY A 1995 ESCORT STATION WAGON NAMED SUNRISE I LOVED MY 1987 ESCORT THE BEST BUT SHE GOT TOTALED IN 2001 SHE ONLY HAD 92,000 MILES ON HER SHE WAS MY FIRST GUESS THAT'S WHY I LOVED HER BUT I WOULDN'T TAKE ANY OF THOSE CARS BACK ACCEPT ROSEBUD FIRST CAR I LEARNED HOW TO WORK ON AND IT MADE ME PROUD I WAS THINKING IF I GOT GOOD FINANCES I MIGHT BY AN OLDER SECOND CAR MAYBE AN 80'S ESCORT OR MAYBE A 1990'S SATURN I LOVE OLD CARS I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A 60'S MUSTANG

Thanx, Nicole. I think Black Beauty is very nice. Anyone that can keep a black car looking like a jewel like that is great in my book! LOL! My car is dark blue and it might as well be black...(pain in the a$$ to wash!) We had some rain last week and I've been so busy, I still haven't had a chance to wash it. It looks like a moving mud puddle. It's been in the garage all week and I have been driving my Honda and today I drove the 'ol Nova. I like variety, plus, when I have a car in the shop, I always have a "spare" to drive!

Believe me, you would not want to live in Mexifornia. I feel like a foreigner in the state I was born and raised in. You have to have Spanish as a 2nd language to get a job here anymore. Instead of making those lazy people learn English, we have to conform. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist, I have a lot of friends that are Hispanic and my Son (16) is 1/2 Hispanic...but why do I have to learn a 2nd language in my own country???...(don't get me started!)

There are criminals everywhere, only ours don't speak English (or act like they don't!) We have our share of bad apples. Our State is so broke that our car fees went up...(tremendously!), and I am really angry about that. I own 4 cars and all of them have personalize plates, so it really hit me hard! There are so many cars running around with expired tags, so instead of going after them, they hit us honest people! They sure aren't putting any of this $$ back into law enforcement. There is so much lawlessness here in our state.

BTW - My car's name is "Keith" named after my first OnStar operator. I hope my boyfriend doesn't get jealous! LOL!

I feel the same way about my cars. They are like family. I have LoJack in my 1988 Honda Accord hatchback, and LoJack in my 1970 Chevelle. The Chevelle is a show car and was my Father's car. He died of cancer almost 6 years ago and left the car in my car. I am very protective of it! I would fight until the end...(no matter how many nails I had to break!) I have the OnStar in my Astra. I have a 1975 Chevrolet Nova that is so homely that no one would want it. :-( I did drive it to work today. It is a good running car, but a little rough on the eyes...(rust). Yes, in California we get rust, but I think it was from when my Aunt that used to own the car lived in Utah. We don't often get rust in California unless you live near the beach. I'm about an hour inland from Ventura.

I have a stun gun too, but needs new 9v batteries...(guess I'd better put those on my Christmas list!) I hope I never have to use it, but it's nice to know I have it.

Remember, it's better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it!

NO HE WAS NEVER CAUGHT HE TOOK MY MOTHER'S SL1 TO INDAIANAPOLIS INDIANA AND THEY FOUND IT THERE. BUT THE SAD THING IS THAT SHE HAD MILES ON IT SHE CAN'T GET BACK! THE KEYLESS ENTRY IS BETTER THAN JUST STICKING THE KEY IN THE DOOR YOU HAVE CONTROL OF THE LOCKS. I ALSO GOT HER A STUN GUN THAT GOES THROUGH THE CLOTHES. JUST FOR PROTECTION!!!!! THE THING IS I HAVE A STUN GUN TOO YOU WOULD HAVE TO KILL ME BEFORE YOU TAKE MY ION. I AM VERY STRONG I HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY A MAN AND I DON'T TRUST THEM AT ALL. FURTHER MORE I WANT TO PROTECT MY FAMILY FROM HARM. THAT'S MY WHOLE PURPOSE FOR THIS. SAFETY MESSURES ARE THE BEST WAY.

Wow, BB, I am sorry to hear about your Mom's car-jacking. There's a place in hell for those scumbags that do that. Was the perp ever caught? (Probably not), I am glad that she lived to tell about it, but it is hard to forget an ordeal like that. I wish I could carry my .357 Ruger with me in my Astra, so that I won't become a statistic, but Mexifornia is the most SCREWED UP STATE, they would never allow that. Guess I'd better move to Arizona or Texas.

Is the Keyless entry foolproof? I'm not familiar with it. I've seen it on some of the limousines I used to drive when I was a Chauffeur. Never used it.
I'm glad your Mom has you to look out for her. You sound like a strong woman. She took care of you when you were a child, so now it's your turn.

I NEVER TOLD ANYONE THIS BUT WHEN MY MOTHER BOUGHT HER 1994 SL1 NOT EVEN A COUPLE MONTHS LATER SHE GOT CAR JACKED IN THE DUBLIN AREA AROUND COLUMBUS THIS MADE ME A LITTLE DISCUSTED AND WHEN I KNEW SHE BOUGHT THE 2006 ION WITHOUT KEYLESS ENTRY I WENT AHEAD AND BOUGHT HER THE AFTERMARKET AT COLUMBUS CAR AUDIO SHE GOT THE SL BACK IN ONE PIECE AND WAS INJURED MINOR BUT THAT GOES THROUGH MY HEAD EVERY DAY IT KINDA MAKES ME MAD THAT MY FAMILY KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO HER AND YET I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT OF THAT!!!!!!!
