I have two 94 SLs one, "Grace' with 525,000 and "Amelia" with 507,000 miles both still get at least 35 mpg average and recently on the way back from Las Vegas to Reno Grace got 41MPG! Amelia is temp. out of commission due to being hit and having some frame damage, but I swear SHE WILL BE ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

My odometer in my 1994 SL2 broke about 4 years ago at 254,913 and I drive it 100+ miles a day so I know I'm well over 300,000. Just not sure exactly how far, but by my calculation I'm somewhere around 380,000.

My 97 SL has 311,419 miles.
Original engine, exhaust, muffler + catalytic converter.........
Replaced manual trans @ 268K.
Drive it 130+ miles every workday.
Still getting 29-32 mpg.
Just passed NJ inspection so I'm good until 05/2011.
Looking forward to 400K.
The S-Series is a fantastic car.

(2ndsout, I had an intermittent engine misfire that turned out
to be the cam position sensor bolt being loose. I guess the mechanic
did not bolt it in fully when replacing the transmission. )

I agree with you Mike. The S-Series is what made Saturn a great vehicle. Keep me updated on your mileage. I'm needing a rebuild on my 94 SC1...currently been holding at 340,501 as of October 2008 due to the engine misfiring really bad.

My 96 Saturn just rolled over 351K. Original engine and transmission. I just went through several break jobs and tire changes. Other than that it still runs well and gets great mileage. I am sorry that GM is going to drop Saturn. The 'S' series was a well engineered vehicle.
