Cali to Colorado Trip

I just wanted to post how proud of my car I was. I recent traveled to Colorado from Southern California. With the odometer about ready to hit 70,000 miles (and did on the trip) my car averaged 35 miles per gallon with two passengers and th A/C runnig the whole way. The best milage I got was driving through the Rockies (I-70) at 39.5 miles per gallon ( A/C was off). I run Castrol Syntec and use a K&N Air filter. It just goes to show that you don't have to by a hybrid to get great mileage, jus… Continue

'Cash for Clunkers' becomes law

On June 25, President Obama signed into law a bill nicknamed “Cash for Clunkers,” aka the “Car Allowance Rebate System.” The program gives vehicle owners a rebate of $3,500 to $4,500 for purchasing a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle with the trade-in of a less fuel-efficient vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will write rules for the law in the next 30 days, so your Saturn retailer will likely have more information in mid-July.

For more information, see the… Continue
